Hello, I'm Sam
I'm a mechanical engineer who loves anything that flies! I love geeking out over aerospace, propulsion, and F1. When not engineering, I enjoy skiing, cooking, and camping.
I'm currently pursuing a BSE & MSE in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics with an intended concentration in Energy, Fluids, and Thermal Systems. I want to bring my mechanical and analysis-driven perspective to aerospace or other systems.
Seeking such a goal, I've devoted myself to becoming a collaborative, solution-driven team-player. I lead by building trust and community, which in turn enables more cohesive and efficient teams. I've demonstrated this as propulsion lead of Penn Jet Propulsion's APOP Team, and I hope to continue building these skills on new teams!
I love exploring new things and learning how they work. Being a quick learner means I'm a nimble and curious problem solver; I research and adapt accordingly for each new problem. I often learn the most from the people I work with; my tendency to question everything leads to interesting conversations about new topics every day!
When possible, I try to spend lots of time in nature whether it be backpacking, camping, or skiing! I going on adventures and traveling to new places.
One of my favorite things to explore is new foods! I run a casual foodie page which posts creations from me and my friends. A lot of them are Italian, coming from my time working at a local Italian restaurant.
